1. About ZIA

The Zambia Institute of Architects (ZIA) is the statutory professional body for architects in Zambia, established under the Architects Registration Act. These terms govern your use of the ZIA website (zia.org.zm), the member portal, and related digital services.

2. Eligibility and accounts

• Member portal features are restricted to registered ZIA members, staff, and approved applicants.
• You are responsible for keeping your sign-in credentials confidential and for all activity under your account.
• Information provided during membership application must be accurate and complete; false information may result in rejection or suspension.

3. Acceptable use

• Do not attempt to access data or administrative functions you are not authorised to use.
• Do not upload or transmit malicious code, harassing content, or material you do not have the right to share.
• Directory and member information may be used for genuine professional enquiries only — not for scraping, marketing lists, or unsolicited bulk contact.
• Forum content, comments, and messages must be professional and lawful; ZIA may remove content that violates these terms.

4. Membership, payments, and renewals

• Membership fees are set by ZIA and displayed at registration and renewal.
• Online and mobile-money payment availability depends on the configured payment provider; bank-transfer renewals are verified manually by the Secretariat before your status is updated.
• Receipts submitted for verification may be reviewed by authorised staff only.

5. Content and intellectual property

• Site content, branding, and documents are the property of ZIA or its licensors.
• Projects and portfolio material you upload remain yours; by publishing them to the public directory you grant ZIA a non-exclusive licence to display them on this site.
• Certificates and digital IDs issued through the portal are for personal verification use only.

6. Privacy

Your use of the site is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains what we collect and how member data is handled.

7. Disclaimer

• Directory listings are provided in good faith; verify registration status independently via the certificate verification page before engaging services.
• Articles, guidance notes, and forum posts are provided for information only and do not constitute professional or legal advice.
• ZIA does not guarantee uninterrupted service availability.

8. Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, ZIA is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of this site, including reliance on directory data or third-party links.
